How to Join a Ministry
Ministry is the service that the church gives to God’s people in such a way that excellence would manifest to bring glory to God. Involving in the ministry means going an extra mile from your typical attending or leading the cell group. As you commit yourself to be part of a ministry, the more that maturity will be seen in your life. We believe that everyone has been blessed by the Lord with potentials, talents, and skills that are purposed to be used for His own glory.
By involving in the ministry, you would be able to develop and master your own gifts and abilities while serving and blessing other people as well. It is an avenue to grow more with other people in the Church. And as one involves, his character is also being honed as the Church focuses not on skills but on character in every ministry. Our goal is to bring out the best in each and everyone holistically—spiritually, physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually. Connecting to the church through ministry requires a heart for excellence, a passion to learn, and a commitment to enlarge and empower the body of Christ through the talents, gifts and skills He has given us.

Praise
The “Praise Team” plays the function of leading the body of Christ to connect to God through music of worship and praises. They are usually composed of singers, guitarists, keyboardist, drummer and some musicians with other instruments. As people normally receive God’s message at church, singing songs of thanksgiving and praises is one way to reciprocate what God has faithfully given to His people.
For those who are interested to be part of this team, this ministry seeks more than just talent but people who possess the attitude of a true worshiper. “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.” (John 4:23) Right character is all the more being molded along with the training as spiritual leadership growth is also being monitored. Strong discipline is observed, too, because not only are these people leaders in singing; they are also leaders in Christ-like living.
Dance
The Dance Ministry has a purpose of loving the Lord and glorifying His name through dancing. Every member of the team has a vision and determination to reach out to the people who have the heart and gift in dancing for the use of God’s glory.
The goal of the team is coordinated with the church’s vision and goal – to win souls for Jesus and make disciples and help them become leaders of leaders. They do not just dance but they see to it that everyone in the team is obeying the great commission and the great commandment. As they dance, they worship and win people for Jesus.
They are on fire for Jesus and they dance with humility to express their gratitude to Him.
Multimedia
The Multimedia Team was formed and united with the sole purpose of serving God and His people through the skills, talents, and potentials the Lord has blessed them through media. This embodies sights and sounds which truly capture the heart and mind of the youth nowadays. This ministry has the vision to turn the media upside-down by transmitting the right message to the people which is the Word of God. Being a medium of salvation and having visionary eyes are one of the characteristics that bring innovation and breakthrough in the church through the multimedia. People in this team collaborate creative ideas and work during all the services, gatherings and events. This ministry is also composed of sub teams namely Website Development, Photography and Videography, Writers, AVP and Graphic Design, Operators, and Technical Set-up Team.
The Multimedia Team is welcoming new members who are willing to use their God-given gifts to serve the Lord all the more through media. Being one of the spheres of influence of our society, our media should have the Godly anointing that comes from the Lord which sends the message of His love. This kind of anointing surpasses the standards of this world.
Theatre
Existing as a main avenue for evangelism, the Theater Ministry aims to capture the sight and sound generation by redeeming every song through sound and action and redefining it as it is originally designed by the Author of music.
The ministry seeks to expand in the next years by holding more workshops for the heart and the mind, developing in each actor a heart of worship and a spirit of humility that desires not personal glory but the proclamation of God’s message—in word, in sound, and in action.
Chorale
Production
Grounded on the vision of winning souls and making disciples, the Production Ministry ensures that every celebration done together by the body of SBCF family is a venue for winning people completely to Christ and edifying each one as a disciple worthy of the calling of the Lord.
The production ministry is a churchwide operation with subsegments that encompass the four celebrations of the church. Each member involves in developing the program, scouting for testimonies, planning the logistics, and implementing creative segments. More than the technical specifics, this ministry serves as a conduit among the other ministries such as the ushering, catering and the marshal team, coordinating instructions from the primary leaders and speakers to the functioning units to ensure a smooth program.
The production ministry manages the weekly events of the church including the Sunday celebrations. They also head the on-site activities of major events.
Ushering
A “Five-star” welcome is what every usher gives to each VIP that comes to church. The message of belongingness is what each usher aims to convey to everyone in SBCF, assuring them that they are part of a spiritual family concerned for their growth.
The ushering ministry sets the atmosphere in every church service as they work for the physical preparation and maintenance of the orderliness and cleanliness of the place. This ministry currently has more than a hundred passionate ushers committed to the purpose of loving God and His people. The manifestation of this love is quality service, which starts the moment they welcome each and everyone to the house of God.
Marshall
The Marshal Ministry serves to ensure security, safety and order inside the church, as it expands to house more people who come to know the Lord weekly. To meet the need for more security, able men who acted as set men during major events were also placed as key leaders of this ministry during church services. Men were specifically chosen for this ministry to project visibility and a figure of authority that will reinforce security.
Marshals are in charge of the security of the people attending the services of SBCF, making sure that their belongings will not be in danger considering the volume of people flocking in during events. The Marshal Ministry also assists the Ushering Ministry in crowd control. Finally, marshals monitor vehicle parking for people who bring their cars to church.
This ministry envisions the church to grow into a congregation even bigger than it is at present. With this in mind, they aim to develop men as marshals capable of ensuring security for crowds of thousands. They are currently working on raising up leaders who will take charge of marshaling, not just during major events and Sunday services.
Catering
Juices being served for the VIPs during services? As the first timers come to the services to be refreshed with the Word of God, their physical bodies also need to be refreshed. The Catering ministry makes sure that not only the physical bodies but also the souls of first timers are refreshed as they receive the warmth welcome – way better than what a 5-star hotel can offer. This ministry does not just cater to the physical need of the guests, but they believe it also has an eternal value. As the first timers feel that they are greatly valued, as if inside a family, they will eventually have the desire to come back to this place and grow with this family.
Preparing the food and drinks has to pass a standard quality control, ensure cleanliness, This ministry envisions a culinary place in the church dream building where hospitality ministry volunteers will prepare the drinks and food for the guests. By then, the congregation will become bigger that more hands are needed to serve the people.
Those who are interested in volunteering in this ministry need to have one thing: a servant heart. There is no requirement to join in this ministry, but as long as you have that servant heart towards other people, you are the best person for this.
